The `Payment-Required` response header is the transaction-time source of truth. A guarded buyer must reject any challenge that does not match the expected resource, Base network, canonical USDC asset, amount, and receiver.

The product catalog at `/api/product-catalog` carries the same terms in machine-readable form. No gas or exchange-rate claim is made here; wallet and network behavior may add costs outside JustHandled's price.
